This webstartable application demonstrates the classes in the de.humatic.dsj.src package, offering support for most technical approaches to streaming media. You will need up to date mpeg2 & 4 video and audio decoders for most of the media to encounter. The demo will check for the presence of ffdShow, which usually is all that is needed. The beta6 version from ffdShow does seem to have a regression bug, that affects framereordered avc1 streams. Consider disabling avc1 support in ffdShow's control panel and using commercial decoders for this.

launch webstart demo

JNLP and library files for this demo have been updated to work on both 32 and 64bit systems / browsers. It appears however that java webstart is always invoked in 32bit mode when pointing a browser to a jnlp file, regardless of whether the browser is 32 or 64bit. So in order to try the 64bit version of the demo you may need to explicitly invoke the 64bit version of javaws.exe from the commandline by typing: "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_VERSION_NR\bin\javaws.exe" http://www.humatic.de/htools/dsj/jaws/stc/086/dsjStreamClient.jnlp

Simplified demo source is included in the additional samples package available from the downloads page
