mnet

mnet installers

These will:

- put 32 and 64 bit MIDI drivers in place and register them
- install a simple configuration frontend named "MIDIHub"

Downloads:

Windows (0.8.6.5)

All files end up in "Program Files (x86)/humatic/MIDIHub".

Uninstallable from Windows' Add / Remove Programs control panel or via uninstaller in program directory

The driver will add network functionality to programs that likely did not have any before. Be prepared to see Windows Firewall warnings when you launch your MIDI program and allow for communication in "Private networks"

System requirements: Windows Vista or greater, IE 9 or greater. On Windows 10 and clean Windows 8.1 installs (not updated from Win 8) the control panel will want to download version 3.5 of the .net framework unless some other program already did.
Full Windows updates seem to clear the driver's registry keys. Fully uninstall and reinstall mnet if no more ports are available after the Windows update.

Mac OS X (0.8.6)

Mount disc image and drag icons onto folder aliases to install
(Installs mnet.plugin to "Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers" and MIDIHub.app to the Applications folder)

No uninstaller so far, run
sudo rm -Rf /Library/Audio/MIDI\ Drivers/mnet.plugin
and
sudo rm -Rf /Applications/MIDIHub.app
from a terminal or delete the files manually.

System requirements: Should run on OS X 10.8 and greater, maybe on older versions alike.

Android (0.8.18)

Control panel only. When the driver is loaded by some MIDI application and no local control panel is up, configuration can be done from a mobile device.
This is a gimmick that is made possible by the "out of process" configuration concept and the HTML user interface.
This is not required in any way and will not see any more updates. You do NOT need to install this to use the driver!

System requirements: Android 2.2 or greater. Uses android.net.nsd which is only available since Jelly Bean. Older versions require manual entry of host IP addresses. Android versions below 4.4 will likely have HTML5 performance problems.

Please read the documentation for more detailed information on features and usage.

Should you experience any sort of problem with these drivers that is not listed under known issues, please ! (Include a logfile and some brief system info if possible).
Thank you.
